Program Educational Objectives
The purpose of opening the Bioengineering Department is to train graduates who are equipped with modern science and engineering knowledge through applied contemporary education programs, who are sensitive to human life and living things, who have the necessary knowledge, skills and responsibilities for solving problems in all areas related to living things, and who have a sense of professional and ethical responsibility, and to contribute to the development and dissemination of science and technology in the country and the world, and to contribute to the development of science and technology with the basic and applied research they carry out.
Program Outcomes
Having sufficient background in mathematics, science and engineering; gains the ability to apply the information in these fields to bioengineering problems.
Gains the ability to detect, define, formulate and solve bioengineering problems; chooses and applies appropriate analytical methods and modeling techniques for this purpose.
Gains the ability to analyze a system, system component or process and design it under realistic constraints to meet the desired requirements; and gains the ability to apply modern design methods accordingly.
Gains the ability to choose and use modern techniques and tools required for bioengineering applications. Gains the ability to design experiments, conduct experiments, collect data, analyze and interpret results.
Gains the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams, take responsibility; individual work skills.
Gains the ability to access information and conduct resource research for this purpose, use databases and other information sources.
Gains the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning and the ability to constantly renew oneself.
Ability to communicate effectively in Turkish, both verbally and in writing, and to have knowledge of a foreign language.
