General Information
The purpose of opening the Bioengineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Malatya Turgut Ozal University is to train graduates who are equipped with modern science and engineering knowledge through contemporary education programs, who are sensitive to human life and living things, who have the necessary knowledge, skills and responsibilities for solving problems in all areas related to living things, and who have a sense of professional and ethical responsibility, and to contribute to the development and dissemination of science and technology in the country and the world, and to contribute to the development of science and technology with the basic and applied research it carries out.
The Bioengineering Undergraduate Program aims to provide an education that will cover the main sub-fields of bioengineering. In this context, it is aimed to train qualified graduates who have theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of biomaterial and tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting and artificial organs, nanotechnology, biomedical technologies, genetics and applications, computational science and engineering, genetics and applications, which are sub-fields of bioengineering and are on the YÖK's priority fields list in Turkey.
Graduates of our Bioengineering undergraduate program, which is a versatile engineering branch, will graduate with versatile skills such as the ability to apply mathematics, science and engineering knowledge; the ability to design and conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data; the ability to define, formulate and solve engineering problems; the ability to think analytically and critically interpret scientific and industrial problems.
With this program application, the student will acquire and develop the principles, concepts, knowledge and skills necessary for the bioengineering profession. Students who successfully complete the courses prescribed by this department will graduate with the title of "Bioengineer".
History
The Bioengineering Department of Malatya Turgut Ozal University was opened in 2019 and accepted its first students in the 2020-2021 academic year. There are 3 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors and 1 Research Assistant in our department.
